As a youth, she escaped from Nazi-occupied Austria and came to America. She worked with Paul Newman and Margaret Hamilton in the 1950s and appeared in a number of episodes of the popular television show "Route 66" in the 1960s. Recently, she opened for Debbie Reynolds and has been featured on several national radio and television stations. Don't miss this national treasure.

Tempe Comedy Concert Series: Tony Vicich Lakeside 7:30 p.m., May 31 Veteran comic Tony Vicich has been making people laugh or demand their money back since 1985. As a national touring stand-up comic, Vicich has made crowds laugh in clubs and theaters in every state in the country and in two cities in Canada. His television credits include A&E, Showtime, MTV, Comedy Central, Fox and TNN (and a bunch of other stuff that isn't on the air anymore). Vicich has written for and guided the careers of many comics who have not gone anywhere and a few who have.
Tempe Comedy Concert Series: Kevin O'Dea Lakeside 9:30 p.m., May 31 Kevin O'Dea is the host of the wildly successful Comedy Circus playing at the TCA. See him leave the hosting duties to someone else and headline the show. No one engages an audience better than this New Jersey put-down artist. Most people hate it when the comic makes fun of them. The way O'Dea does it, they love it.

Scottish 80s band Big Country promotes its first album in 14 years with founding member Bruce Watson at the helm.
